The Role of the Church
God has placed the responsibility on parents for properly training children. This is clear in numerous Scriptures.
“And, ye fathers provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.” – Ephesians 6:4
Christ Embassy seeks to assist families to follow the Lord wholeheartedly. It is vital parents model the life they desire their children to live. We desire to encourage adults to faithfully honor God and fulfill their God-given responsibilities in the home.
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
What to Expect
Children learn key truths of the Bible through the many stories in Scripture. Using bright visuals, interactive learning experiences in a colorful and engaging atmosphere, the teacher presents a fresh Bible lesson each week. Children also sing familiar songs and choruses. They learn to apply Bible principles in their daily lives. The Bible lessons are reinforced with character-building stories, simple crafts, puppet skits and other age-appropriate activities.
The children will meet together for a fun filled and energetic praise and worship. They will then break up into smaller groups, organized by grade level, and learn in a more intimate environment, where one on one instruction and interaction play a key role in reinforcing the word or God. Every lesson is especially planned and prepared for each age group, to meet the learning needs of the children at a level they in which they understand. As the children progress in years and move to each grade level, they will build on what they have already learned from the previous years. The children are taught from a faith based curriculum, beginning with bible basics and progressing to greater lessons of faith and Godly principles.
The lessons they are taught are not just bible stories of history, but the principles of these stories that will impact their lives throughout. We also encourage the parents to be involved with the children, by participating in a class, sitting in on a lesson, and we even send home a study sheet to engage with the children for the week. The lessons are reinforced through dramas, interactive approaches, and hands on, with colorful visuals,displays, demonstrations, and crafts.
The instructors are hand chosen, trained, and mentored through an aggressive foundation to solidify their understanding of the word of God. We go to great lengths to protect the children, we have implemented several procedures including; background checks and a secure labeling system for the children when they arrive. We have also trained instructors in CPR, first aid, and special needs.

Nursery Ministry
Christ Embassy San Antonio believes in ministering to the needs of every age group, including our littlest members. Loving nursery workers provide a clean and safe environment for newborns through two year olds.While parents enjoy the adult services, they can rest assured that their babies are receiving personal care in a safe and nurturing environment. Our qualified volunteers create a positive church experience that introduces infants to a love for Jesus early on. Nursery classes coincide with all of our regular weekend and mid-week adult services.
Preschool Ministry
Preschoolers love to learn, which is why each preschool classroom provides interactive learning experiences in a colorful and engaging atmosphere. From illustrated Bible lessons to comical puppet skits, preschoolers learn God’s Word in bite-size bits. We offer multiple classrooms.
Elementary School Ministry
Our elementary class combines high-energy activities with Bible-based teaching for boys and girls in the 1st through 4th grades. Children will experience a church service that is as full of energy, excitement, and hope as they are. They will learn powerful truths from the Bible that will stick with them for the rest of their lives. A combination of games, interesting puppet characters, and fun-filled songs capture kids’ attention while also showing them that living for God is the best thing out there. They will memorize Scripture, participate in games, and make great friends Elementary services coincide with all of our regular weekend and mid-week adult service.
Pre-Teens Ministry
For fifth and sixth graders, we offer a great way to help students make the transition from elementary to junior high. Our children’s ministry teams deliver top-notch services that are sure to wow your students while also teaching them the principles of God’s Word. Special attention is paid to the children as they enter into life as young adults. At this grade level, children are taught about the importance of relationships, evangelism and the importance of serving in the ministry. Periodically there will be organized events, which may include activities outside the church. We encourage parents to be involved with such events, as they are exciting and fun for the children. Services coincide with all of our regular weekend and mid-week adult services.
